So, I know that roommate stories are super cliche but who cares. It never stops being funny. So, I have a roommate who is a total clean freak. Our kitchen is completely spotless. All the time. Now don't get me wrong, it's a good thing. Really. Being tidy is very useful, it prevents the build up of germs and countless sicknesses that six girls could possibly float around their kitchen. It's nice. Anyway so this roommate, I secretly call her Queen of the Kitchen to anyone who doesn't live with me, is constantly washing all of our dishes. It's kind of annoying really. We'll eat breakfast, pop our cereal bowls into the sink, rush of to class, and when we come back a few hours later, the sink is empty. I always wonder why because, naturally I was planning to do my dishes after class, but I guess three hours is just too long for a bowl to hang out in a large sink. Odd.
Well, today when I came home from class, I opened the door to a big whiff of chemicals, all the furniture moved away from the tables, and said roommate vigorously scrubbing and vacuuming. " Uh... Deep cleanin' today?" I curiously said as i walked over to the hall that leads to my bedroom. " There was gum!" was the unexpected answer I recieved. "Gum?" I asked back.
" There was Gum on the floor!"
"Where?" I asked, thinking it was smooshed into the carpet underneath the sofa or something.
"Right next to the trash can in the kitchen! I have to leave a note for everyone. This is riddiculous!" she practically shouted to the vacuum. (I'm sure she was talking to me though)
So.. She tore up the entire kitchen and living room because she found a small piece of gum on the floor, next to the trashcan, that someone probably accidently missed when they tried to chuck it in. (probably me)
Now, in our always spotless kitchen, there is a sign that literally reads, " Keep Kitchen Clean!! Don't Forget To Clean Up After Yourself!!" Hmm.... I wonder what bee got in her bonnett?
ha ha. this just keeps getting more and more interesting as time goes on.

What do I do?

Well, having a lot of spare time in a lonely, practically foreign place, I do a whole lot of ... what?... yes . Reading. It's a good thing I like reading right? I've read one book per week. Is that a lot? I think so. I've Read Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen, Fairest by Gail Carson Levine, and The Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright. They're all real good. I'd recommend them all. But.. If you're going to read Fairest, I would pick Ella Enchanted instead. It's just plain better. Magical even. I know it's for like 8-14 year olds but... who cares right :)
I am going to try to get through Moby Dick this week.
I've also had a lot of time to watch my favorite movies!! I've watched my entire collection of Doris Day films, Rocky, and Rambo too. I hate to say it, but I'm kind of sick of them all. I've seen them so much. "Congratulations universe. You win". OH!!! If you've never seen the Donna Reed show, you must!! It's my new favorite TV series. I love that old stuff.
Someday I'll explain why.
Here's some pictures of my stuff. I don't care if you don't care to see them. You're gonna see them.Uh... I've never done this before
So... I'm not sure how this is going to work but, we'll give it a try I guess. So I am officially starting a blog now. I think it'll mostly help me feel included with everyone that I am like a gazillion miles away from. So here it is.
I am just going to start my 4th week at SUU. So far I just love it. It's so much fun :)
It is hard though because well, I don't know a soul!! AAAHHH!! Thankfully I have pretty awesome roommates and we all hang out often. I do get homesick though :( What can I say? I am just a home-body after all.
Well, I think that does for an acceptable introduction. So there you go.
